New Features

Data Stories + Widgets Improvement

Earlier in EDIS, we enhanced Custom Reports to make organization easier, with features like drag and drop rows, and move up and down. Building on your suggestion, we applied the similar improvements to the widgets in Data Stories. Now, you can easily rearrange your widgets with just a few clicks. 

This addresses the issue of inefficient widget management, saving you time and making your workflow smoother. These updates are designed to make your experience with EDIS more efficient and effective.

Simply open an existing data story or create a new one, then start adding and organizing your widgets.

Drag and Drop Widgets

Select the widget and drag it to your desired position. Quickly move widgets from last to first place by dragging them. The screen will automatically update to reflect the change.

Buttons to Up or Down Widgets

For each widget, you will find the 'Move Up' and 'Move Down' buttons. These will allow you to individually rearrange the widget, moving each one up or down as needed.

Improvements

Enhancement to Custom Report

We improved the custom report workflow to track the form's status, ensuring accurate and streamlined reporting.

Automate Task Creation for Process Failures

Edis now automatically generates tasks based on internal processes. When a failure occurs, an Asana task is created for the tech team to review.

Share Specific Schools of Students with One Person

We know sometimes you need to share specific schools of students with one person without sharing your access rights. We’ve come up with a simple solution for this.

Once you’re in EDIS, click the ‘Students’ icon and go to the student listing. 

Click the ‘filter’ button, select the schools you need, then click the ‘Grade level’ or the filter you need. Hit ‘Show Results’. 

When the results load, scroll to the bottom and click on the ‘Max’ to show all results, otherwise, only the first page will be shown. Select all the results and click ‘Add to groups’. You can add them to an existing group or create a new one. 

After creating the group and adding the students, click on the EDIS top-right Menu > My Groups. Click the three-dot menu next to the group > Share > Search and Select the user by name or email > Click the 'Share' button. 

Finally, when the user logs in and clicks the 'Filter’ button > Group; they’ll see the group you shared with them.

Bug Fixes

Custom Cards Dropdown Fix

Fixed the issue with selecting custom cards in the student profile. You can now easily choose 'Official or Not,' 'Official Only,' or 'Not Official' seamlessly.
